DELAWARE, OH ATTORNEY GEOFF SPALL
Attorney Geoffrey Spall is originally from Delaware, Ohio. His parents and grandparents were teachers at public schools and collegiate level. Geoff attended Delaware Hayes High School graduating in 2006. He went on to attend Columbus State Community College and later graduated from Otterbein University in 2011. Geoff spent some time from 2011-2016 working as a landscaper and hardscaper for Gentlewind Landscaping in Westerville, Ohio. Also during this time, Geoff was a prominent local musician in Columbus, Ohio.
Geoff attended Capital University Law School 2016-2019. In Law School, Geoff served as a fellow on the Moot Court Team; excelled in trial advocacy course work, participated in Mock Trials, and was a member of the fraternal organization Phi Alpha Delta. He received a Juris Doctor Degree Cum Laude in 2019.
During Law School, he was licensed as a legal intern by the Supreme Court of Ohio in 2018. This allowed him to practice law and work as a legal intern under Attorney Dominic L. Mango specializing in Criminal Defense litigation in Delaware and Columbus, Ohio. During this period he spent a lot of time with clients both in and out of the courtroom gaining the necessary experience to be an effective criminal defense attorney. Also notable during his student years, he successfully appealed two cases by exceptional merit brief writing and arguments put before the Courts of Appeals.
Geoff sat for the Ohio Bar Exam July 2019. He passed the Bar Exam October 2019 and was sworn in to practice law in Ohio in November 2019. He launched his solo practice specializing in Criminal Defense litigation shortly thereafter. He has handled many cases including OVI, Misdemeanor, Felony defense, Judicial Release, Expungement, Record Sealing, Appeals, etc. Since establishing his practice Geoff has also taken on personal injury cases, domestic relations (divorce, dissolution, custody), and civil law suits. He has a proven record of effective representation and continues to grow his practice in Delaware, Franklin, and central Ohio.
Geoff is a member of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and regularly attends their educational seminars to be well informed of the current state of criminal law in Ohio. Through this association, Geoff has been educated on the exceptionally complex scientific and legal issues regarding OVI/DUI law in order to remain on the cutting edge of criminal defense in this field. Geoff is also a member of the Ohio Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.
In 2022, Geoff was named a Top 40 Under 40 Attorney by The National Trial Lawyers.
Geoff is happily married to his wife, Melissa. They love music, reading, and most of all, their miniature dachshund, Layla.
